The New Volkswagen Golf & Golf Estate

A New Version Of The Classic

Now open for order

The Volkswagen Golf is celebrating its 50th year and has a brand new look. With visual and functional updates and enhanced performance for added driving pleasure. It comes with a choice of engines, equipment and features so that you can rely on the familiar Golf but with new personalisations to suit your style.

What's New?

The exterior has new headlights and tail light clusters with optional dynamic turn signals. Optional too is the illuminated front Volkswagen logo.

The interior has new seat covers in fabric or ArtVelours and a high-gloss centre console. There's an optional 12.9" infotainment display for your entertainment, news and navigation. The multifunction steering wheel with classic push buttons adds to comfort and ease.

Greater Choice Of Power

The new Golf mark 8.5 comes with a choice of engines in 1.5 litre TSI 115PS or 150PS. Both have a DSG dual clutch gearbox.

An e-TSI mild hybrid version uses a starter generator to support the engine at start off and low speeds. Braking and rolling are used to re-charge the lithium-ion battery. Fuel consumption and carbon emissions are reduced.

The Golf Style also comes in a plug-in hybrid option. This uses an electric motor and TSI petrol engine. The eHybrid can start in electric only mode and travel up to 107 km (combined WLTP) using just the electric motor if the battery is fully charged. The vehicle responds to speed, driving mode and other parameters so that the TSI engine switches on automatically.

Great Innovations

Optional IQ.LIGHT LED matrix headlights with high-performance main beam give you better night vision and can light up the road ahead to a distance of 550 metres at night. The matrix technology means you can permanently drive with the main beam on without dazzling other road users. The energy saving headlights are extremely efficient.

IDA the optional online voice assistant makes life easier during your journey. With this you can operate the radio, telephone and music or even the air conditioning and navigation with your voice. IDA also understands expressions such as "I'm cold" or "where are there Japanese restaurants in London?". Due to digital microphones, IDA recognises whether the driver or passenger is speaking and can, therefore, provide air conditioning in the vehicle specifically for the person making the request!

Wow! This vehicle sounds amazing.

Function on Demand (FoD)

The new Golf will feature a selection of  functions on demand (FoD) which customers may purchase at any time during their vehicle ownership to further enhance their Golf. Available functions range from visual settings such as Dynamic Background Lighting, to comfort options including heated front seats and Climatronic zones. They can be purchased for a period of a month, a year or a lifetime. Available features vary depending on trim and standard equipment, so customers are encouraged to explore the in-vehicle shop for compatible functions and pricing.

The new Golf trim levels are: Life, Match, Style and R-Line.
