The All-Electric ID. Range Is Open For Pre-Booking.

Pre-booking for the first model of our exciting all-electric ID. range is open.

Take a look at our first image of the I.D range! - The car on the far left in white is the I.D3 and is the one now open for pre-booking.

You can pre-book the first ID. model due to come off the production line in 2020.

The ID. is due to be officially revealed at the Frankfurt Motor Show in autumn.

The ID. will be the world’s first carbon neutral vehicle when it launches, with a 10 billion euro investment from Volkswagen.

It will initially be powered by a single rear-mounted electric motor - powering the back wheels only and it will have a range of three battery capacities.

This all-electric car will be Volkswagen’s first permanently online vehicle, with a range of services being offered to you through the Cloud

The ID. is the first arrival from the ID. family, is a compact all-rounder that suits the everyday needs of the electric car driver.

It will be the first Volkswagen on the market to be based on the newly developed Modular Electric Drive Kit (MEB). It is powered by a 125 kW/170PS electric motor, delivering a range of up to 370 miles and is priced similarly to today's Golf with comparable power.

The ID. is positioned as a compact electric car, with a new Volkswagen design language for electric vehicles of the compact class. What is known as the Open Space Concept has been implemented for the first time in the car’s interior.

Although shorter than a Golf, the ID. offers the generous space of a Passat. This is made possible by the new drive concept architecture with an electric motor on the rear axle and a high-voltage battery in the vehicle floor, which enables more space and flexibility.

Customers are required to place a deposit of £750 to “pre-book“ a limited ‘first edition’ of the ID. Neo.

Early in 2020, customers will be invited to confirm their order for their ‘first edition’ of the ID. Neo.

The ID. Neo ‘first edition’ will be available in the one battery size and one trim level in the UK; customers will be asked to select their paint colour only at point of order.

ID. Neo ‘first edition’ vehicles will become deliverable to customers in the UK during summer 2020.

ID Crozz (SUV) is expected to follow in 2021 plus a coupé version of the I.D3.

ID Buzz Camper is due 2022.

Volkswagen have reported that 15,000 ID.3 pre-bookings were taken within the first five days of opening across Europe!
