Digital Self Check-In Option For Our Service Customers

We're pleased to announce a time-saving addition to our Service Centres at Eurovans Crawley and JCB Van Centre Sittingbourne. If you're pressed for time and it looks like there's a queue to check in for your service or repair there's nothing worse to ruin the start of your day. However, help is at hand! Due to the success of introducing digital self check-in stations at our Volkswagen passenger car branches, we have extended this additional option to two of our Van Centres.

How does digital self check-in work?

Digital self check-in allows you to check-in and leave your keys securely without having to use the service reception.

On booking your service, you will be sent a reminder text to your smartphone the day before. Using the link in the text, you can start to complete your check-in remotely and complete it within our showroom kiosks located inside the service centres.

Using the touchscreen you can complete your check-in, mark where you have parked your van, select additional service options and leave instructions or messages for the service team. You can even request a quote for a service plan which we can have ready for you when you collect your vehicle. Once you have completed your check-in and keyed in the secure code issued to you, just pop your keys in the opened locker, shut the locker door and off you go!

How do I collect my van at the end of the day?

We will still, of course, stay in touch with you during the day to check on progress and liaise on any options that arise. We will send you a text to tell you when your vehicle is ready. You then have the option to collect in person or to pay online via our secure payment app or over the phone and we will send you a secure code to your mobile to be able to collect your keys from the kiosk. The self check-out process will tell you where your van is parked and we can leave personalised notes on screen for you too. If you've ever used an Amazon pick-up locker, it's very similar.

Can I still speak to a Service Advisor?

The option to deal directly with our Service Advisors is, of course, still an option. If you would like them to demonstrate how the digital self check-in works for next time, they will be happy to help.

Volkswagen have trialled this option at pilot service centres and are confident that this service will offer customers greater convenience, choice and flexibility when using our service departments.
