The all-new Transporter has been unveiled in Hanover, Germany. This 7th generation of a classic offers more space, more payload, increased maximum trailer weight and a professional cockpit landscape to bring it right up to date for a bright and modern future.
The new generation Transporter combines a robust look with sleek styling but retains the recognizable 'face' with the 'Bulli' line integrating with the various design elements.
The interior now serves its driver with a modern, comfortable workspace with enhanced safety features. Controls on the digital display and steering wheel make for ease of use.

We asked one of our longest serving staff members, Andy Rapp, who's seen many iterations of the Transporter and is a keen Volkswagen Van & Camper enthusiast, what he thought of the new Transporter T7?
"We at JCB Sittingbourne are thrilled and excited about the launch of the new VW T7, - with tried and tested technology, a wide range of drive trains, while still keeping the DNA of the brand, with the front complimenting the Multivan and ID Buzz, bringing the commercial range together.
The T7’s efficiency, improved spaciousness, and advanced technology, perfectly align with our goals as a dealer, enabling us to deliver an exceptional product. We are confident that collaborating with Ford on this, will enhance our capabilities and help us achieve great results.
Let’s harness this excitement and make the most of this opportunity!"

The new Transporter improves on its award-winning predecessors in every way that matters.
Still light and easy to handle it has a larger load compartment (5.8 cubic metres - 9 cubic metres on longer wheelbase model) and higher maximum payload (up to 1.33 tonnes on TDI model), meaning substantial loads can be transported with easy manoeuvrability. The increased length (146mm longer than the T6.1) means it can take Euro Pallets.
A larger cabin and new digital cockpit give you a more comfortable driving experience.
Bringing the Transporter right up-to-date will be the new range of powertrains featuring plug-in hybrid (eHybrid) and all-electric (eTransporter) options as well as TDI turbodiesel engines.
The new Transporter also features an increased towing capacity of up to 2.8 tonnes.
Volkswagen have really thought about how the Transporter is used in a normal working day.
For example, the new multi-function steering wheel is designed to be operated even while wearing gloves. The digital cockpit has all the necessary information hubs on one viewing axis. The 12" instrument cluster can be easily configured to your requirements. 13" touchscreen infotainment system has DAB + and wireless App Connect with Apple CarPlay/Android Auto.
The height of the new Transporter remains under 2.0 metres for easy access to conventional multi-storey car parks. The turning circle is 11.8 metres for easy manoeuvring of tight bends.
You can power up your tools on the go with the option of a 230 V power hub (400W), including a converter to power large electrical devices of all kinds. An inverter with 2.3 kW output will be available for the eHybrid and eTransporter variants. Don't forget your phone too - a stowage tray in the centre console allows smartphone charging on the go. USB-C, USB-A and 12V outlets are also included for charging other devices.
