The exterior features a new front grille and higher bonnet; redesigned bumpers and wider air intake. Front headlamps now use LED technology with SE L trim and upwards having full LED matrix lights as standard. The rear bumper has a distinctive diffuser and a tailgate spoiler extending further back. LED rear lights have a narrower, angular shape.
Inside, the new look KODIAQ is spacious and practical. A new 2 spoke steering wheel is standard on all trims with the SportLine and vRS featuring a sporty 3 spoke steering wheel.
There are 3 petrol and 2 diesel engine options in the new range. DSG transmission and 4 wheel drive options are available on selected models.
The new EVO line uses 'twin dosing' to treat exhaust gases from the diesel engines, lowering nitrogen oxide emissions by nearly 80%. With the petrol version, the fuel consumption is reduced partly due to an injection pressure of up to 350 bar. The highlight of the new range is the vRS model with a 2.0 TSI 245PS unit. Although powerful, it is 60kg lighter than the 2.0 TDI it replaces. The vRS has 4 wheel drive as standard.
Included are a new adaptive cruise control function and new emergency braking which can detect pedestrians and cyclists. A new radar system has sensors at the back to help prepare the vehicle and its occupants for the risk of collision from behind.
The KODIAQ is available in 5 trim levels. SE can be ordered in both 5 and 7 seat versions, while the rest of the trim range has 7 seats as standard. All trim levels have significant specification and equipment boosts over the previous models. For example, rear-view parking cameras, virtual cockpits and leather seats.
