King of the Downs cycle event
ŠKODA Ride It Event

30/05/19:

Euro ŠKODA teams up with Evans Cycles for 'King of the Downs' event.

The ŠKODA range has many models that are 'cycle-friendly', as brand ambassador Bradley Wiggins can testify. Easily equipped to carry you and your bike without hassle, we are bringing our range of ŠKODA cars to the Evans Cycles 'RIDE IT' challenge event on June 9th.

The 'King of the Downs' event takes place on 9th June 2019 and takes in a few notorious inclines such as Box Hill! The full route takes 115 miles, passing through the Surrey hills, North Downs, Ashdown Forest and Kent. However, there are two half distance routes as well.

Euro ŠKODA are happy to team up with a first class bike retailer that shares their own customer-centred values.

In 1921, the first shop of F.W. Evans Cycles opened on the Kennington Road in south east London. Nearly 100 years later the success of that store led to Evans Cycles being the Nation’s number 1 specialist bike retailer with stores located around the UK from Glasgow to Plymouth.

Launched in Spring 2008, 'RIDE IT' is Evans very own local cycling event. No matter what type of bike you ride or how experienced a cyclist you are their RIDE IT series of cycle events have something to suit riders of all types and abilities. The ride events feature fully waymarked routes, well stocked feed stations, mechanical and sweeper van support if things go wrong, electronic chip timing and a finishers medal waiting for you at the end.

Euro ŠKODA are proudly featuring our latest cycling friendly cars at this Evans Cycles 'RIDE IT' challenge event - ‘King of the Downs’- on June 9th.

Good luck if you are taking part!

An early start on this 'extra hilly' ride still did not put off a large group of cycling enthusiasts who turned up to take part.
