The facelifted Octavia adds the vRS hatch and estate to its range in 2017.
Available as a hatchback and estate, this update of the Octavia vRS has two four-cylinder engines to choose from: the 2.0 TDI diesel engine has the same 184PS output as the outgoing model; the performance of the 2.0 TSI petrol engine has increased to 230PS, making it the most powerful and fastest series-production Octavia to date.
Brand new infotainment, connectivity and driver assistance systems have also been added.
The interior styling boasts vRS sport seats, available in leather and fabric or Alcantara, which provide plenty of support through their high sides and integrated headrests.
The multi-function sports steering wheel has a perforated leather crown and shift paddles on cars with direct shift gearbox (DSG). The recesses of the door handles are illuminated, the pedals have an aluminium finish and the kick plates bear the vRS logo. The sporty look is further enhanced by red brake calipers and lowered suspension.
Progressive steering, performance mode select with performance sound generator (optional), and the stability program, ESC with electronic cross barrier XDS+ are also available. Together with Dynamic chassis control (DCC), which allows the driver to choose between comfort, normal or sport modes, to these features provide the most responsive, dynamic and versatile driving experience yet.
Vital statistics - The new 2.0 TSI generates 230PS of power and has a maximum torque of 350Nm at 1,500 to 4,600rpm. The front-wheel-drive sports model hits 62mph in 6.7 seconds and can accelerate to a top speed of 155mph.
