The JCB Group Customer and Staff safety measures post-lockdown


At last, the day we've all been waiting for has arrived and restrictions are lifted. However, we're sure you'll join us in wanting to retain caution and responsibility in our social and commercial interactions. The safety of our customers and staff remains paramount. Our management team have carefully considered all aspects of our showroom and service centre experience and have put in place the following policy across our group sites.

We want to reassure our customers that we are taking their safety seriously and compassionately. Should you have any concerns or questions, please get in touch or ask to speak to the branch manager.

Face Masks

The wearing of face masks within our dealerships is now optional for both our staff and our customers.

However, should you wish to have a member of our staff wear a face mask when interacting with you then please ask us and we will be more than happy to oblige.

We realise that some of our customers will still be nervous or not be vaccinated and may still be deemed clinically vulnerable and therefore it is important that we adjust our behaviour in wearing a mask to your requirements.


All screens will remain in place until further notice and as per usual, the screens will be cleaned daily and kept in good order.

Hand Sanitiser

Complimentary hand sanitiser remains in place across all showrooms on service desks, sales desks and in customer waiting areas and staff offices.

Social Distancing

Over the past 18 months keeping our distance from each other has become part of our daily lives. Whilst the coronavirus vaccines are preventing in many cases serious illness, it is imperative that we play our part in ensuring a reduced spread of transmission in our businesses. All social distancing requirements will remain, and all social distancing signage will stay in place.

One Way Systems

All one-way systems will be removed but we ask staff and customers to exercise vigilance in social distancing as above.

Service Process

We will continue to operate the system of key drop boxes.

Courtesy vehicles will be available on a limited basis. There will be a charge of £25 per day (inc VAT) for this service*. Vehicles will be thoroughly cleaned and sanitised before use by the next customer.

Service washes will not be available at the present time.

We will be able to walk customers to their vehicle on collection.

Our technicians will continue to sanitise vehicles before hand over back to customers.

Collection and delivery is not currently available.

Sales Process

Unaccompanied test drives are available**.

Vehicle handovers can take place to ensure that our customers understand the controls and technology of the vehicle they have purchased.

Site Cleanliness

Our showrooms, customer hospitality areas and toilets will continue to be checked to maintain a high level of dealership cleanliness throughout every day to reduce the risks for our customers and staff. .
