Staff at Medway’s Volkswagen dealership on Bailey Drive, Gillingham are celebrating after achieving a top position in a nationwide Customer Care and Quality of Service Award ceremony.
The family owned JCB Volkswagen Medway came 11th out of 220 Volkswagen dealerships throughout the UK in the VW One Business Awards for 2015, and are now the top Volkswagen retailer in the South East!
The awards are based on Volkswagen’s UK scorecard service, which recognises first-class customer care and excellent repair and maintenance facilities, not just volume of sales.
Managing Director, Jonathan Bischoff set up the JCB Group 17 years ago, then aged 27, while he was working for another dealership. He wrote to Volkswagen, explaining that he only wanted to work for them and was desperate to be given the opportunity to run a dealership. To his delight (and surprise) Volkswagen replied, offering to be the guarantor behind this new business venture. Fast forward 20 years, Jonathan’s team at Medway have sold over 40,000 cars and the business has grown to include other car manufacturers, commercial vehicles and parts supply to the trade industry at 10 sites across Kent and Sussex.
He said, “This is an amazing achievement by everyone at JCB Medway and the extended JCB family and I’m over the moon!
“It takes a lot of effort and hard work to provide the highest possible customer care and service day-in-day-out, so to be recognised as the South East’s number one Volkswagen retailer is true testament to strength of the team who, no matter what, go that extra mile to keep on delivering the excellent levels of service our customers have grown to expect over the years. I’d also like to thank all our customers as they’ve played a huge role in this award, by returning to us and recommending us to their friends and family.
“There is however, room for improvement and we will be striving even harder to build on our success to date.” he added.
The independently owned JCB Group now employs over 300 staff throughout Kent and Sussex.
