The all-new car sees the widest range of powertrains ever made available in the Sportage’s 28-year history, including for the first time a HEV (Hybrid Electric Vehicle) model as well as, mild hybrid, petrol, and diesel engines that will all be available from launch.
Designed and developed for Europe, in Europe, the all-new fifth-generation Sportage comes with a brand-new design identity giving the new car superb on-road presence. The design is sleek yet muscular and combines with a cutting-edge premium interior that includes a curvaceous integrated display, featuring two high-definition 12.3-inch displays (available on ‘3’ grade and above).
The Sportage is fully connected, incorporating access to over-the-air (OTA) software and map updates, while the Kia Connect smartphone app (available on select grades) – allows owners to interact with their car remotely.
The packaging of the new car offers greater interior space while maintaining the relatively compact dimensions that make it ideal for UK and European roads. Boot space, head- and leg-room are all substantially increased compared to the previous-generation car, with best-in-class legroom for rear seat occupants and practical 40:20:40 split rear seats.
Standard equipment includes 17-inch alloy wheels, LED headlamps and daytime running lights, front and rear parking sensors with a reversing camera system. Electrically folding, adjustable and heated door mirrors and an electronic chromic rear view mirror add to the car’s convenience features.
Android Auto™ and Apple CarPlay™ are also standard, as is Bluetooth connectivity and an 8.0-inch touchscreen with DAB radio and MP3 compatibility.
Drivers benefit from cruise control with speed limiter, automatic headlight control and rain sensors, as well as numerous driver safety convenience features including Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist (FCA) with city, pedestrian, cyclist and junction covering; Lane Following Assist (LFA) and Lane Keep Assist (LKA); Intelligent Speed Limit Assist (ISLA) and Hill-start Assist Control (HAC).
The Kia Sportage comes in 5 different grades: 2, GT-Line, 3, 4 & GT-Line S.
There are 4 different powertrains: hybrid, plug-in hybrid, mild hybrid and petrol/diesel.
