The Kia EV9 heralds a new era of sustainable mobility. So different in its looks and capability it retains the functionality of a large and adaptable SUV.
Built on Kia's E-GMP (Electric Global Modular Platform), the interior allows generous space for passengers to relax in comfort and connect; even in the 3rd row seats it's lounge-style comfort. It can tow up to 2.5 tonnes too!
The EV9 has a long range thanks to the 99.8 kWh battery, which also has the ability to re-charge quickly. It has some of the most sophisticated ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) technology available, taking it one step closer to full autonomy. Kia's newly developed Highway Driving Pilot System (HDP) gives the EV9 conditional Level 3 autonomous driving.
Its environment scanning technology includes two lidars* - using reflected light and laser technology to measure distance - to detect objects all around it. Its technology can then react to the situation extremely quickly.
Updating your EV9 with the latest vehicle features and services will be possible through the Kia Connect Store on your smartphone. If there is something you didn't order straightaway or at hand over, you can add it on. Over the air customisable software updates and choices after handover, now there's a new idea!
The structure of the new EV9 offers excellent protection for its occupants and the battery in the event of an impact.
Kia, as a brand, is committed to sustainability so it is phasing out the use of leather in its trims and upholstery and instead turning to bio-based materials and recycled products. Think corn, sugarcane and natural oils! Upcycled drinks bottles are used in the interior trim.
With 2nd row swivel seats, your EV9 becomes a home from home on a day out. So adaptable and comfortable, it represents a whole new way to move.
