The CUPRA Born 58kWh 204PS battery opens for orders with a choice of three trims – V1, V2 and V3 – a name structure consistent across the CUPRA brand. The battery line-up boasts competitive ranges of between 213 to 341 miles*, and power outputs from 150PS to 230PS.
The new CUPRA Born is built on the Volkswagen Group's MEB platform, a modular electric-drive foundation for a new generation of vehicles. WLTP range values for the CUPRA Born will be published soon. Performance figures are still undergoing testing and checking with official channels. It is expected that the CUPRA Born will be VED exempt, subject to government regulations.

The world premiere saw the exciting reveal of the all-new CUPRA Born from the neighbourhood which inspired its name in Barcelona.
This fashionable, quaint and vibrant quarter of the city of Barcelona has inspired the design of this stylish CUPRA car.
Smooth and streamlined, with great power and responsiveness, the CUPRA Born combines eco-friendly electric power with performance.
As Wayne Griffiths, CUPRA President, described it, the CUPRA Born encourages you to "stand out and stand for something".
The Born is 100% battery electric and uses recycled materials, achieving a CO2 neutral production process. At last, considering performance, choosing electric becomes an emotional decision, not just a practical one. This contemporary brand has built the Born on the Volkswagen Group's MEB platform (modular platform for electric cars). The Born is available with 110 kWh motor or 150 kWh, with a boost version which adds an extra 20kWh. 3 battery sizes will be available. At launch:
Get this! The CUPRA Born can reach 100km/ph in 6.6 seconds. It can use a 125kW charger to re-charge to 100km in 7 minutes. The full range is as much as 540km (335 miles of range on the WLTP system).
The CUPRA Born has a sleek and stylish look, with LED signature headlights and a rear spoiler. The battery is positioned very low in the car and there is almost 50:50 weight distribution.
The exterior and interior take their design cue from the light and shade of the ancient, narrow streets of El Born district in Barcelona. Rich and sumptuous materials and comfortable bucket seats are actually upcycled plastic bottles and tee-shirts! The CUPRA copper tone adds highlights to the design, which has been inspired by raw nature, stone, minerals and the earth. It's a highly emotional car.

Range estimates, power and acceleration figures are based on internal CUPRA testing designed to reflect Worldwide harmonised Light vehicles Test Procedure (WLTP) procedures. The CUPRA Born is not yet available for sale in the UK and has not been through homologation, so official WLTP range values are not yet available. Test results were obtained after the battery had been fully charged and are as at May 2021. Figures shown are not yet confirmed and are for information only. May not reflect real world driving.
