The Born is 100% battery electric and uses recycled materials, achieving a CO2 neutral production process. At last, considering performance, choosing electric becomes an emotional decision, not just a practical one. This contemporary brand has built the Born on the Volkswagen Group's MEB platform (modular platform for electric cars). The Born is available with 110 kWh motor or 150 kWh, with a boost version which adds an extra 20kWh. 3 battery sizes will be available.
The CUPRA Born can reach 0-62 mph in 6.6 seconds. The full range is as much as 342 miles of range on the WLTP system. Born has a 5-star Euro NCAP rating.
The CUPRA Born has a sleek and stylish look, with LED signature headlights and a rear spoiler. The battery is positioned very low in the car and there is almost 50:50 weight distribution.
The exterior and interior take their design cue from the light and shade of the ancient, narrow streets of El Born district in Barcelona. Rich and sumptuous materials and comfortable bucket seats are actually upcycled plastic bottles and tee-shirts! The CUPRA copper tone adds highlights to the design, which has been inspired by raw nature, stone, minerals and the earth. It's a highly emotional car.

If you want power, style and performance then the Born VZ is the version for you.
VZ boosts performance with 326PS/545Nm, reaching 100km/h in just 5.7 seconds and increasing Vmax to 124mph.
The VZ has a sportier interior with CUP upcycled/recycled material bucket seats as standard and regenerative paddle shifts on the steering wheel. A robust suspension and more responsive pedals give a dynamic feel to the drive.
Enjoy the two new steering 20" alloy wheels, with one forged with performance tyres, the VZ logo on the rear and new colours for this model. Choose from Dark Forest or Midnight Black.
Why VZ? VZ stands for Veloz in Spanish, meaning fast. A great addition to this Barcelona inspired vehicle. Electrification and performance are proved to be in perfect harmony. Range is still up to 354 miles. VZ can recharged at home using an 7kW AC system or at a DC 170kW fast-charging point, meaning a fast charge from 10% to 80% could take around 30 minutes†.
Best bit? Possibly the new optional high-fidelity 10-speaker audio sound system developed in collaboration with premium audio firm Sennheiser. It’s an audio technology that incorporates Sennheiser's AMBEO Concerto software, able to distil fundamental components of music, including different instruments and room information, redistributing them throughout the car.
