Renault Car & Van Finance Plans

Let Us Explain Some Of The Finance Options Available to you when deciding to finance your new or used Renault car or van.

There are many ways to fund the purchase or hire of your chosen Renault car or van. Motor finance can seem daunting and confusing, but let us help by describing the principles of the different types of finance available. Our finance videos show the different options on specialist motor finance.

Once your finance is underway, we will contact you for a mid-term review, at which point you have the option to upgrade your vehicle if you wish.

We have produced a JCB video to show you how this happens in practice. Should you have any questions, please get in touch with our Renault Kent branches in Medway (Rainham), Ashford and Canterbury, where our Sales teams will be able to help. Our Sales teams and Business Managers in branch are FCA qualified and accredited.

What is PCP?

Personal Contract Purchase or PCP is the most common way of purchasing a new car in the United Kingdom and can also be used to purchase a used car too. The benefits of buying with PCP include:

  • You may be able to afford a more expensive car
  • You can lower your monthly repayments
  • You can reduce the length of your agreement
  • You could change your car more regularly
  • There are usually 36 to 49 month options on the duration of the repayments
  • There is flexibility on the end of agreement options, such as keep your vehicle, part-exchange for a new one, or return the vehicle
  • Budgeting is made easy with fixed interest payments
  • You can add in options like accessories or service plans

What is PCH?

Personal Contract Hire or PCH is a way of leasing a vehicle without having to own it. At the end of a PCH agreement you can hand back the car as long as you have serviced and maintained it in line with your agreement. Some things to consider include:

  • You do not own the vehicle, you lease it
  • The agreement is for a fixed period or 'term'
  • There is a fixed monthly cost
  • An excess mileage charge will apply if you exceed the annual mileage allowance that you agreed at the beginning of the term
  • It is possible to have maintained (inclusive of service and maintenance costs) or non-maintained (excluding service and maintenance costs) agreements
  • At the end of the term you can return the vehicle and start another agreement on a different vehicle
  • You must maintain and service your vehicle to keep it in good condition, otherwise you may incur charges at the end of the agreement
  • Road tax is usually included in the agreement

We also offer Contract Hire for business users. Please ask for more details.

What is HP?

HP or Hire Purchase is the traditional way of funding a vehicle purchase. There are several benefits to using secured finance to pay for your new car or van rather than using an usecured personal loan, your savings or your mortgage.

The agreement can be settled at any point, and at the end of it, you will own the vehicle.

Our website has some fantastic features to help you find and finance the perfect used car:

  • Have a particular price range in mind? Use the powerful “Budget” search tool to search our stock based on your monthly budget.
  • Looking for a particular car but don’t know if you can afford it? Use our “Vehicles Search” on the left hand side to find your car and see accurate finance quotes displayed next to it.
  • Use the adjustment bar to tailor the finance quote to a monthly payment you feel comfortable with.
  • A longer contract period, a larger deposit and lower annual mileage will all make your monthly payment lower.
  • Remember that the value of your part exchange can be used as part or all of your deposit. If you are currently in a finance agreement, give us a call and we can give you a cash value that you can use as a deposit to fund your next car purchase.
