At The JCB Group, our staff are our biggest asset - from our in-branch specialists to our head office management and support teams. In the current unpredictable climate, we have had to make a similar difficult decision to many other businesses and furlough 400 of our team, across many departments and branches within our organisation. Our hope is that this will allow us to weather the storm and get back to business as soon as possible, while also avoiding putting our staff in any unnecessary danger.
During this time, The JCB Group’s Managing Director, Jonathan Bischoff, has urged all of the team to use this closed down period to bring support and positivity to those who need it most. Using our internal comms platforms and Facebook groups, Jonathan Bischoff encouraged people to volunteer with the NHS, and other worthwhile causes. Just one example of this happening is through over 30 colleagues from our branches using JCB Group vehicles, free of charge, to support the NHS - conducting pharmacy runs and deliveries to those in need.
