Friday 27th September is the date for our annual Bake Off challenge. Timed to coincide with the Macmillan Cancer Support's World's Biggest Coffee Morning, the legendary competition is hotly contested amongst our staff.
We put on our thinking caps and asked some of our staff what the theme should be. So, this year the themes we've chosen for the showstopper creations are:
The JCB Group's 20th Anniversary Celebrations
or
Love Island!
This could be very interesting indeed!
Staff are asked to submit their decorated cakes for judging by sending a photo in to our marketing team. During the afternoon all photos are uploaded to our staff intranet and staff can then vote for their favourite. The Managing Director offers prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd most popular cakes, as voted for by employees of the 18 branches across the group. He also pledges to match the amount raised for Macmillan and in previous years this has topped £700.
Cakes are made available to customers in our waiting areas and we hope they will enjoy them, in return for a donation to Macmillan, with their complimentary tea or coffee whilst waiting for their service or attending for a hand over. Any donations to the charity will be very gratefully received.
Join us in our showrooms and service centres on Friday!
