I recently bought my new golf and was looked after by the legend himself, Anthony Potter. He explained everything to me in detail with no stone unturned. Gave everything to me straight and said it how it was - I respected that. He has so much enthusiasm and is as energetic as me which made building a solid rapport with him very easy - hats off to you Anthony! I am very happy with the car and the service Anthony provided. I’ve had cause to deal with JCB VW a few times over the past 3 months, first with an issue on my previous car, and more recently when buying a new one so I’ve seen both the Sales and Service teams at work. For me, the true test of a dealership is not when everything goes perfectly, but how they handle things when they don’t. I recently visited for the annual service and MOT of my Tiguan. The check-in process and key drop were incredibly quick and user-friendly – I was able to check in from home and simply drop off my key at the branch. Later, I received a call from the showroom with an update on the MOT status and the necessary work. However, when it came time to collect the car and pay for the service, I was informed that they were open until 5:30 PM, but the last collection was at 5 PM with no pickups allowed afterward. This meant I had to leave work early to make it in time. Despite arriving before 5 PM, I ended up waiting over 10 minutes for my bill and keys while the executive was busy on the phone, confirming appointments for the following day. I could hear all the calls as I sat directly in front of the desk. I’m unclear why settling my bill couldn’t have been prioritized before handling those calls. In terms of the service, I was disappointed that no vehicle health check video footage was provided this year, unlike last year. Having the video would have been helpful in understanding the condition of the car. Additionally, the way the service documents were handed over felt quite substandard – just a few printed pages with no folder or envelope, which gave a rather cheap impression. Overall, I believe there are still areas where customer service can be improved.

The staff are friendly and helpful. My service for my Tiguan was eye watering expensive, however they did come to the party by giving me a discount. Unfortunate that they did not have stock of parts and my car was kept there an extra day. Also unfortunately they did not wash my car, I guess it was because the parts took longer to arrive.

We bought a second hand car at VW Tunbridge Wells. From start to finish The salesman Adam answered all our questions and made the whole process easy. Adam made sure we understood everything on the new car and spent a lot of time explaining everything. We didn’t feel rushed and are now enjoying our new car but know that if we have any queries Adam will be there to answer them as he always returns calls which is rare nowadays!

Bought a used car from here, I couldn’t have asked for better service from the salesperson Anthony. Knowing that I was coming from far, Anthony sent a detailed video of the car and was very open about the condition (ie minor cosmetic marks like stone chips). We agreed to a sale, not only did Anthony manage to get the car ready for the weekend but all the little cosmetic marks had been taken care of. The car looked brand new, it exceeded our expectations. The dealership is a hours drive from me and not my local VW dealer but very much worth travelling to. Have used twice for tricky faults in my ID.5 and both times they have resolved the problems, took a while but this is down to VW and the back and forth. Fern gave me regular updates on the status and Helen always answers the phone in a lovely way. Both Fern and Helen are a credit to JCB

We recently purchased a VW Tiguan R line from Lucy at Tunbridge Wells JCB. Everything about the sale and the part exchange of our old vehicle was really well managed and a great purchasing experience.

Lucy’s customer service was exceptional and we were kept informed throughout the cars build time and when to expect delivery. On hand over, Lucy did a really great job explaining the car functions and getting it set up for us and sorting out all the paperwork. I highly recommend JCB. Helen on the front desk is so friendly and courteous, we would consider her to be the face of JCB Volkswagen Tunbridge Wells, as she is your first point of contact when visiting the showroom. If you are considering visiting them to talk about a new vehicle, I cannot recommend Adam more highly. My wife and I came in with the intention of purchasing a new R-Line Tiguan but saw a beautiful Arteon in the showroom when we arrived. Adam took the time to run us through the nuances of each vehicle before offering us a test drive of the Tiguan (the Arteon was not available for a test drive at this time), when we arrived back from the test drive, we found that Adam had taken the time to produce and send brochures and quotations for both vehicles for us to consider, as an added little touch, he had made sure that coffees were ready and waiting for our return. As a person, my wife and I both found Adam to be a super friendly and honest individual who has his client’s interests at the forefront of his mind. The little extra touches that Adam included were really appreciated and I have no doubt that Adam got us the best possible price for the Arteon that we eventually bought (believe me! I came in ready to haggle and I was a little disappointed that there was no need to when Adam presented the quotation). I would have no hesitation in referring Adam to friends and family in the future. On a personal note, Adam thank you so much for all that you did for my wife and I, the interactions that we had in the buying process will be forever remembered when we use the Arteon. Keep it up my friend, you’re going to go far in this industry, you are a natural. Outstanding service again, from everyone, at JCB Volkswagen Tunbridge Wells. From the moment you enter the premises, until the moment you drive away, the service is outstanding. Service in two senses, service from the Staff and the actual service, carried out on your vehicle. I must also thank the Mechanics and the Technicians, who we don’t see, but deserve credit also.

Today, 4th January we took my VW UP GD69YPK to your garage for its MOT-and annual service. Left it at 9.40 and collected it at 3.15pm. Service is fine, all running well as expected. Customer service leaves a lot to be desired. There is no way of paying for this service as your building does not have a card machine yet!!! We were told about a system of paying at home by card using Bumper links. This failed twice to connect at home so we took all our cards, I pads and phones back to the VW service area.We were served byJiya Derodra who did not show a lot of empathy with customers but explained that having been taken over recently by JCB group the IT systems were not quite in place. There seemed to be a staff meeting going on near us and at one point Jiya had to ask for advice from one of them. This person repeated the same excuse “no card machines available to take payment and we don’t accept credit cards”. No apologies from anyone and apart from your reception staff who were pleasant and welcoming the rest of the staff seemed lacking in good humour and showed low morale. Perhaps once you have paid for a job lot of card machines you could send your front line service staff on some customer training, how to meet and greet etc!! Best wishes, Margaret and Keith Robinson

Visited them at the end of September and they were really helpful in getting us a new VW Golf. The salesman, Adam, was great! We saw the car on the website on the Saturday night, and he responded within 15 minutes! We saw it on the Sunday and bought it on the Monday. Adam was attentive to all our questions and queries and the whole process could not have been smoother.

Part exchanged my VW Touran & purchased a VK Tiguan. The sales person Harry Sermbezis was a very easygoing and knowledgable about the car and kept me informed through out the process even towards the end where he informed me about the return within 14 days if didn’t like the vehicle etc and was ready to wait for me even after closing time as I was stuck in traffic. Great chap and enjoyed doing business with Marshall VW due to individual like Harry.

Lovely car centre and friendly lady on reception, just wasn't overly impressed with the sales rep who showed us the cars I was interested in. Was hoping to look at a new Tiguan and Tiguan Allspace - understandably there wasn't a new one there to look at so we were shown a slightly older model, however there was no urgency or interest to take any contact details so I could come and view the cars if and when they came in. Just seemed pretty uninterested which was a shame.

Highly recommend the service given by Ryan at Marshall VW, who calmly told me about the options I had when the locking wheel nut had gone missing in my car. However he said that most wheel nuts often can be found in pocket within the car, which is precisely where we found it. A big thanks Ryan, you saved my day.

I wrote the below review around 15 months ago. Although the sales process was very good, the aftersales service has not been the same experience. The customer experience through the journey of purchasing and ownership is key to a successful business and unfortunately, VW Tunbridge Wells gives a poor aftersales service. So I can recommend purchasing from there but I would see if there is another garage to get the aftersales care. Recently purchased an EV from Marshall in Tunbridge Wells. From the initial meeting to taking delivery, the customer service was top quality. I dealt with Anthony Potter who kept me informed every step of the process (even sending me a video of the car when it was delivered to the garage whilst I was on holiday) plus, even spent an hour going through the car when I picked it up. Anthony has continued to follow up just to make sure everything is ok so overall, a great customer experience. Definitely recommend them.

Service and MOT. Had car collected from home and returned. Outstanding service from the driver and the servicing team. A painless experience from start to finish, with no hard sell of extras, costs as expected and nice to have the technician send a movie clip containing an overview of all parts of the car. This is the 3rd time I’ve used this VW Centre for servicing and I’d 100% recommend.

This visit was to take our car for one of its regular inspections. All COVID-19 precautions were in place with screens & sanitiser. Staff are always professional & friendly. The time taken for the inspection was as stated. Having two VW vehicles, one fairly new & one much older, I would recommend this place to visit if you are looking for new car, either petrol, diesel or even electric.

From the Get-Go, the person who served me was fantastic, very thorough in their approach and generally a nice person. Won't name any names but this person knows who they are. Not pushy with the sale at all, understood mine and my partner's position and did all they could to secure the best deal - which they did. Definitely a bubbly character and genuinely takes care of her customers, she even contacted me a day or two after I'd picked the car up to check in and see how things were going. To that staff member at the Tunbridge Wells branch - you are a legend and generally a lovely person, thank you! :) P.S - Get that promotion sorted!

What can I say other than how fantastic and lovely your staff are. Abi was great, not pushy like most sales executives, so bubbly and chatty. Even after I had a slight problem with my car nothing was too much trouble. Felt I have known Abi for years! Helen was lovely too, making sure I wasn’t waiting for someone and keeping me well informed. My first visit here for AdBlue as a drop in customer, service was fast and very well priced. Three members of staff checked on me and I felt really looked after. I witnessed their staff jumping to assist an urgent tyre issue from another customer. I'm expecting to take my car here for regular servicing and hope they'll maintain this level of service.

Had a minor service done here. Process was efficient, but they do try to upsell things you don't need. They did a complimentary wash n' vac, but they don't dry the car afterwards, so it ends up covered in hard water spots that are a pain to remove (admittedly, this seems to happen at any dealership!).

Requested a test drive online and had a response the next morning from Jamie the test drive was booked in for the next day! I received all the information on the Golf via email before arriving to the garage. Jamie was able to answer all the questions I had and helped me choose a car to suit my work requirements! The service was fantastic from the start! Can't wait to drive off in my car!

It has been an absolute pleasure buying a new car. From the first call to the professional sales team through to Andy sending me a video of me driving off in my new car tonight, I could not find a better dealership to do business with. At last, a dealership who not only wants to sell you a great car, but makes the whole experience a pleasure ( thanks for the lift from the railway station tonight!). Great staff, great showroom, great cars ... but best, fabulous deal.

Jamie was excellent from start to finish and I’m delighted with my Golf. Despite being relatively new to VW having just moved from another car brand, Jamie’s knowledge was really good and his experience in customer service obviously apparent. The sales manager was also polite enough to come and make sure that I’d been totally happy with my experience when I collected and seemed genuinely interested in the service I’d received. The whole dealership seemed to really care. I’ll be certain to come back to Jamie and Motorline VW when it’s time to change!

Ok didn’t buy my Passat from them went to have a key programmed should have been simple but nothing is in my life so now we have major technical problems due to nobody’s fault Ben has kept me in the loop but can’t be sorted out till next week so kept me topped up with coffee and then a brand new curtesy car till mine is sorted and have been told at no charge even for the work I wanted done , so far I’m impressed will report on how it all turns out

Good enough cars, but the service is appalling and expensive. Plus the staff have the arrogance to give a Phateon driver a polo as a courtasy car!! After some talking with the sales manager, a solution was found and we give credit to him for apologising. So they are good, but sometimes there service is lacking.

I recently bought a used Beetle and was very impressed by this company. The whole process from start to finish was entirely customer focussed, friendly, stylish and smart. There was no hard sell at all with the car or with any of the VW products that I could choose to buy if I wished. Instead, everything was communicated carefully and clearly to me so that I could make my choices unflustered by sales spiel. The salesman - Ryan Duprey - who I would not hesitate to recommend, kept me up to date with the process from the moment I expressed an interest in the car and the way the car was presented to me when I went to collect it brought a big smile to my face. I shall not spoil the surprise for you in case you end up buying from them! I am thrilled to bits with my Beetle by the way - its a joy to drive and a bit of a head turner :-) .

A well presented establishment, with a nice selection of vehicles. A warm greeting from reception was followed by a fast and efficient service at finding a salesperson and getting us a coffee. We had a bit of a bad experience here when we looked a few years ago, but this trip was much better. Our salesperson (Nigel) took their time to understand what we needed and answered all questions we had. Test drive was great fun. The finance was explained clearly, we got a good deal with little negotiating required. Our salesperson kept us up to date with emails and videos, they were quick to call back when we had questions. Collecting our car was a nice experience and we felt as though they'd put the effort in. They've kept in touch to make sure all is well and answer any questions... it'll be nice to catch up at service time!
