THE JCB GROUP SELECTED AS ONE OF THE FIRST KIA PURPOSE-BUILT VEHICLE CENTRES IN THE UK

We are delighted to announce that the JCB Group has been selected by Kia as one of the first dealer groups in the United Kingdom to launch a dedicated Kia Purpose-Built Vehicle (PBV) Centre. This strategic appointment marks Kia’s entry into the electric van market and positions the JCB Group at the forefront of this significant brand initiative.

• The new PBV Centre will be located at our Ashford Orbital Kia site located at Orbital Park, Monument Way, Ashford, Kent. Kia has carefully chosen a select number of partners to establish this specialised network, with facilities tailored to meet the exacting requirements of commercial vehicle operators. These bespoke facilities will ensure a dedicated environment for customers to experience Kia’s innovative electric vehicle solutions.

  Kia’s PBV concept — “Platform Beyond Vehicle” — extends far beyond traditional vehicle design. The range will deliver fully electric light commercial vehicles and people carriers, supported by advanced software solutions that provide unparalleled adaptability, convenience and sustainability for both business and lifestyle use.

  The first model in the line-up, the Kia PV5, has already achieved industry recognition, being named “One To Watch” at the 2025 What Van? Awards. UK pre-orders for the PV5 opened on the 1st May 2025, with first deliveries anticipated by the end of the year. Prices will exclude VED, delivery, and the current Government Plug-In Van Grant of £5,000, where applicable.
