Škoda cars are sponsoring probably the greatest cycle race in the world, the 'Tour de France'. With the famous winner's yellow jersey, the gruelling stages on ridiculously steep slopes and all the drama of the speed and endurance racing stages, Škoda will have over 200 vehicles in place. The Škoda vehicles will be used by the organisers and race management team as support and service cars. The Tour Director will be using a 'Red Car' as command vehicle.
Cycling is in the DNA of the Škoda brand. It started out as a bicycle manufacturer in 1895. The current Škoda range is well suited to cycle enthusiasts, with a range of SUVs, estates and hatchbacks that have cycle racks available as accessories.
