Sir Bradley Wiggins, Olympic medal winning cyclist and BBC Sports Personality of the Year, has been chosen as brand ambassador for ŠKODA in the UK.
This seems fitting, as the ŠKODA business,
founded by Václav Laurin and Václav Klement, started out making bicycles
in the 1890s, and went on to produce motorcycles before they eventually
progressed to manufacturing automobiles in 1905.
Sir Bradley was chosen because he is 'driven by something different'.
ŠKODA noticed that their cars are driven by a particular type of person. It’s nothing to do with age, income or any other social demographic, but attitude.
ŠKODA drivers are independent thinkers who make their own choices. They’re happy in their own skin.
And they’re extremely happy in their ŠKODA cars. They are very proud that their ŠKODA drivers are among the most loyal and satisfied around.
They love driving something different because they’re driven by something different.
Just like ŠKODA.
