Stylish with All-Wheel drive: Scout is available with up to 7 seats. Its design is rugged and robust, yet stylish, with silver coloured detailing at the front and rear and 19" alloy wheels. There's a choice of 2 petrol and 2 diesel engines, both linked to all wheel drive.
Silver coloured accents appear on the radiator grille, roof rails, wing mirror housings, window trims and front and rear underbody protection. Subtle small badging on the front wing and glove compartment tells you it's a Scout.
The all-wheel drive system has intelligent computerisation to monitor driving status. It constantly calculates the ideal driving torque for the rear axle. Loss of traction is virtually eliminated. Under normal conditions, engine power is transferred mainly to the front wheels.
Off roading capabilities: The Scout's generous ground clearance allows it to negotiate uneven terrain with ease. Approach and departure angles are also generous allowing it to take hills and descents without problem. Don't worry about its bodywork being spoilt - the Rough Road package, which comes as standard, protects against damage to the underbody, engine, brake lines, fuel lines and cables. Off road mode is selectable by pressing a button. The ABS system kicks in alongside ASR (anti slip regulation), EDL (electronic differential lock), hill-hold control and hill-descent controls to allow true off roading capability.
Driving modes can be selected to choose eco, comfort, normal, sport, individual or snow.
Technology: Standard equipment includes a multifunction steering wheel, LED ambient lighting in 10 colours, a modular infotainment system with 8 speakers, Alcantara seats with the Kodiaq logo, steel pedals, textile floor mats and the Kodiaq logo on the front door sills.
Engine range: There is a choice of 2 petrol and 2 diesel engines at launch. 1.4 and 2.0 TSI and 2.0 TDI with between 150PS and 190PS.
