One of Kent and Sussex’s largest motor group has cemented its reputation for excellence after achieving top positions in national Customer Care and Quality of Service Awards.
The family owned JCB Group, which has rapidly expanded its operations in the South East, is proud to announce that its Volkswagen van centres in Eastbourne and Ashford achieved second and third place positions at the national UK Volkswagen Commercial Vehicle Awards, while its VW car dealership in Medway achieved a ninth place position against 220 dealerships throughout the UK, and are now the top Volkswagen retailer in the South East, for the second year running!
The awards are based on Volkswagen’s UK scorecard service, which recognises first-class customer care and excellent repair and maintenance facilities, not just volume of sales.
Managing Director Jonathan Bischoff said: “This is an incredible result and I’m very proud of my team’s achievement. The past five years has seen rapid expansion for the JCB Group which has increased our influence and reach in the automotive world, but the focus has always been on looking after our customers and offering reliable vehicles which are value-for-money. As a privately owned business we are becoming more unique as much of the industry has consolidated, with dealerships more often than not being owned by large global conglomerates. It’s our localised, personalised service and excellent staff that is the key reason we are winning these awards and performing better than our competition.
“Earlier this year we received the news that we moved to 111th place in the AM 200 UK dealer listings, up 28 places from 2014. We were the second highest position mover nationally and reported the fifth largest increase in sales nationally, proving that our formula is working. Receiving the national awards further is the icing on the cake!”
In the groups 20 year existence, Jonathan’s team have sold in excess of 100,000 vehicles and the business has grown to include other car manufacturers, commercial vehicles and parts supply to the trade industry, across 12 sites in Kent and Sussex.
Jonathan added: “It takes a lot of effort and hard work to provide the highest possible customer care day-in-day-out, so to receive these accolades is true testament to strength of my staff who, no matter what, go that extra mile to keep on delivering the excellent levels of service our customers have grown to expect over the years. I’d also like to thank all our customers as they’ve played a huge role in these awards, by returning to us and recommending us to their friends and family.

The independently owned JCB Group now employs over 300 staff throughout Kent and Sussex.
