We do things by the book

We’ve signed up to the Motor Industry Code of Practice to give our customers even more peace-of-mind when servicing their vehicle at JCB Suzuki.

As well as all the assurances of servicing your vehicle with an approved Suzuki repairer, our customers can be doubly confident with our commitment to the industry’s voluntary Code of Practice.

The Motor Industry Code of Practice for Service and Repair commits repair centres to an open, fair and responsible way of doing business. It is a voluntary Code that aims to deliver the benefits of self regulation to the business and their customers.

The Code has been developed by the Motor Industry to provide a self regulatory regime. It enables us to show our intention to operate as responsible businesses with high standards of customer care whilst having in place a speedy dispute resolution service that consumers can readily access in the event of a disagreement.

The Code is working towards approval by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) under their Consumer Codes Approval Scheme.

The Code sets out and defines:

  • Advertising
  • The booking process
  • Carrying out the work
  • Billing
  • Staff
  • Complaints handling
  • Dispute resolution and disciplinary action
