JCB News: Well Deserved Win for Nathan at SEAT Top People Competition

A JCB Group employee is celebrating after it was announced that he has won a SEAT Top People Award, recognising the best professionals in different areas of business from across its motor-dealer network.

Parts Advisor Nathan Cloke passed several selection stages which demonstrated his passion, drive, knowledge and skills in the lead up to the UK final this February. He then spent a gruelling day being assessed at The National Learning Centre in Milton Keynes, before he was crowned as Parts Manager of the Year 2017 at a Gala dinner for all competitors.

As part of the assessment, Nathan and the other competitors in his category were tested on their product knowledge, understanding of all SEAT systems and processes and most importantly of all, customer care and understanding.

Nathan, who has been an employee of the JCB Group for over four years and currently works at the Group’s SEAT dealership in Ashford, will now go on to represent the UK at the World Top Service People Awards in Barcelona, Spain this March. During the global final, he will be put through his paces again in a variety of team, practical and theoretical exercises with the aim of winning a coveted international winners title.

JCB Group Managing Director, Jonathan Bischoff said: “As a group, we are extremely passionate about providing the best value, help and customer service.

“It’s fantastic to see that our positive approach to customer service is being acknowledged and rewarded by the industry which will only further motivate our employees to go that extra mile for each and every customer.

“We are very proud of Nathan’s achievements, all the more so given that at the time he was not yet qualified as a Parts Manager, although he has subsequently gone on to earn this accreditation. He is an excellent choice to represent SEAT UK. We wish him the best of luck in Barcelona and look forward to hearing about the experience.”

Talking about the scheme, Richard Harrison, Director of Seat UK, said: “I am delighted to celebrate the top quality colleagues we have in our Network. These people will play a key role in driving up standards of customer experience in the coming months and years. Congratulations to all our finalists and winners!”

Jonathan Bischoff added: “Parts Managers are responsible for ordering and supplying thousands of genuine SEAT parts from the complex and detailed parts catalogues. It's incredibly important that customers and workshops get the right part, right first time. This can be incredibly complicated when you consider the number of different models available and all the derivatives of each model.”
