The team at JCB Honda Ashford is celebrating, following the recent naming of the Honda Jazz as the 'Most Reliable Small Car in the UK'. What Car? magazine's 2017 Reliability Survey saw owners of the popular super-mini report no faults with their car, putting it ahead of the competition.
The survey - published in the December issue of Britain's leading consumer automotive magazine - asked owners of 14,208 cars if their cars had suffered any faults in the past 12 months.
These were classified into 13 groups: battery, bodywork, brakes, engine electrics, exhaust, exterior lights, fuel system, gearbox/clutch, interior trim, non-engine electrics, steering, suspension, and 'other'. The cost and length of the repair were also used to weight the severity of the fault and create a reliability rating.
The magazine reports: ' Not one Honda Jazz owner who completed the survey reported any faults with their car, giving the little hatchback a perfect reliability score.'
The Honda Civic Hatchback and Tourer also scored highly in the family cars category, achieving a 94.5% reliability rating.
Older cars were also studied, with owners of cars aged 4-10 years also asked to complete the survey. The Honda Civic diesel scored 100% reliability, with no owners reporting faults.
Kevin Lynch, Brand Manager at JCB Honda Ashford, commented: "We're constantly telling our customers about the reliability of Honda. To have an influential publication such as What Car? reiterate our claims is brilliant, as it further proves that Honda vehicles are an excellent long-term option for drivers, whatever their requirements."
