The distinctive body of the Volkswagen Golf conceals a reinforced shell with crumple zones, and front and rear parking sensors that guide you when manoeuvring. Inside the cabin, the innovative multifunction steering wheel puts controls for all of the in-car technology comfortably within the driver’s reach.
In-built entertainment includes a built-in CD player and DAB digital radio, and certain Beetle models can be upgraded to feature a navigation system and touch screen in the central console. The 12-volt socket that’s fitted in the cabin as standard lets you charge up your phone, laptop or other devices whilst you’re on the road.
A choice of petrol engines is available for the Volkswagen Beetle, ranging from a 1.2-litre with a seven-speed automatic gearbox to powerful 2.0-litre TDI engines (only available for the Beetle Design & Beetle Sport) that can produce a breathtaking 0-60mph speed of less than ten seconds. With any engine, drivers can enjoy a very generous combined MPG from the Beetle, in addition to eco-friendly emission levels that meet strict EURO 5 standards.
